First ASME Award Nomination

The American Society of Magazine Editors announced nominations for the 2026 National Magazine Awards this spring. “Out of the Wild: I Tracked a Wild Salmon from Sea to Plate” was named one of five finalists in the Lifestyle Journalism Category. The print feature ran in the June 2025 issue of Food & Wine magazine. The online version (with sidebars) ran August 20, 2025. And the Instagram reel (edited by F&W’s digital team) ran August 20.

The winners will be announced at the ASME National Magazine Awards in New York City on May 19, 2026.
